If you've already switched to multi-hole abrasives, an ordinary backing pad will undermine the gains. This pad is built as part of Bosch's Particle Control system, where the precise hole layout — though it appears random — is the result of calculated research to ensure enough holes always align with the sanding sheet for consistent, efficient dust removal.

By channelling dust away from the surface and into your extraction tool, the pad helps prevent sheet clogging and extends abrasive life. Bosch states it lasts up to 2x longer than the standard Bosch backing pad (2608601115), making it a practical long-term investment for tradespeople who sand regularly.
