Bosch Expert PRO BLUE EXBA18V-80 18v Cordless Li-Ion Battery 8ah
The Bosch Expert PRO BLUE EXBA18V-80 is an 18V 8Ah lithium-ion battery pack engineered for professionals who demand maximum power and extended runtime from their cordless tools.
At the core of this battery's performance is advanced tabless cell technology, which replaces the conventional two-tab current path with countless parallel current paths. This dramatically reduces internal resistance, resulting in less heat build-up, greater efficiency, and maximum power output of up to 2400W. Compared to the Professional GBA 18V 4.0Ah, this battery delivers up to 120% more runtime — a significant advantage during heavy-duty continuous work such as grinding on mild steel.
Thermal management is handled by Bosch's COOLPACK 2.0 system, which works alongside the reinforced robust housing to protect the battery during demanding use. The extended charging temperature range of -10°C to +55°C adds further versatility on site, and a full charge is achievable in just 39 minutes when used with the compatible EXAL18V2-320 or EXAL18V-160 charger.
A 5-LED charge indicator displays remaining capacity and provides defect risk detection, giving professionals clear visibility of battery status at a glance. The EXBA18V-80 is compatible with the full Bosch Professional 18V System and the multi-brand AMPShare battery alliance, making it a versatile choice across a wide range of cordless tools on site.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
