Bosch GWS 18 V-125 SC 18v Cordless Brushless Angle Grinder 125mm

Part of the Bosch Connected range of Bluteooth enabled cordless power tools, the GWS 18V-125 SC is a professional grade angle grinder which offers access to control parameters and usage data when used in conjunction with a smart device like a phone or tablet.

The world's first angle grinder to ship with onboard Bluetooth technology, the GWS 18V-125 SC can sync with compatible Bluetooth devices, whereby the operator has access to general infomation and settings, registration and personalisation functions, machine status information, warning messages and management settings. Additionally, an illuminated interface on the grinder serves as a quick and easy to read indicator of speed setting, temperature and battery charge level. The GWS 18V-125 SC offers a choice of three speed settings and operates at a no load speed range of between 0 and 9,000rpm. The interface also changes colour from green to yellow or red in the event of an alert being triggered, for example if the machine becomes overheated or the battery starts to run down. The interface flashes blue to confirm connection has been established with external Bluetooth devices.

The GWS 18V-125 SC also has a number of other technologies to ensure high levels of performance and user safety. A brushless motor is combined with Bosch Eneracer battery technology, providing high efficiency for cordless operation and enabling longer runtimes per battery charge, while Drop Control, Kickback Control and Restart Protection circuits help minimise risk to the operator and nearby workers. Another world first from Bosch, the Drop Control circuit automatically shuts off the tool if it detects it has been dropped, negating the potential hazards of an uncontrolled live grinder in the work area. Electronic Kickback Control shuts off the motor in the event of an accessory binding, and Restart Protection ensures the machine cannot stay switched on in between battery changes or any other unexpected power interruption. Additionally, the supplied anti-rotation Protection guard is designed to reliably shield the operator from disc bursts as well as providing general protection during cutting and grinding applications.
