Received mine today, wow! Splits knotty dried oak logs foot long plus, by foot and half long with ease. Rarely got stuck in the wood. Free sharpener works a treat too. The trick to using the maul, is let it do the work. I put full force into one swing which missed the mark and my hand suffered from the shock, from then on put 75% effort in to subsequent swings and progress was still fast. With the balance and lighter weight, accuracy is simple to achieve. Great stuff.

Amazing tool, best Axe I have ever owned much better than the mule type and splits logs with ease. Very light weight as described so you can use for longer, worth the money.

Best splitting axe I have found, comfortable to use with less effort to split large logs, came with a great sharpener just a few strokes to maintain a razor sharp edge.
