With a 300mm bar and weighing in at just 2.6kg, cutting logs for the fire has never been simpler. The brushless motor in the GD24CS30 ensures maximum efficiency and performance, so you can make more cuts per charge. The high chain speed of 7.8m/s ensures a clean cut when working. The addition of an automatic oiling system means the chain is kept lubricated when in use for smoother performance and a longer service life.
Tools in the Greenworks 24v range include lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, grass trimmers and leaf blowers. This chainsaw is available as a complete starter kit with a battery and charger or as a body only tool at reduced cost - which is ideal if you already own a suitable battery and charger from other tools in the range.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

The Greenworks 24v Li-ion System is a range of 24v tools where all 24v batteries of all ah ratings fit all tools, allowing you to buy just a few batteries but as many of the range of bare tools that you need without the expense of a new batteries and chargers each time. In some cases there may be tools that take 2 x 24v batteries to power a 48v motor - These are still part of the 24v battery system but with the added benefit of a more powerful motor.
