I recently purchased a bosch chainsaw but the chain tensioner mechanism was utter rubbish (just did not work) so i replaced with this model and there is no comparison, outstanding.

This is the 2nd one of these chainsaws i've owned. The first, (model 4020),i've had for about 3 winters is still going strong and has done sterling work and is now wearing through it's 2nd chain. It gives a fast cut without wasting too much wood, yes my petrol stil cuts a bit faster but is heavier with much more sawshruff. I run the saws from a 2200w generator and now have one permanently attached to a saw horse and the other free too prune incoming wood. This is a good set up and a safe one because as soon as your finger releases the trigger the chain is braked allowing safe repositioning of wood on the horse and of course immediate spin up as soon as the trigger is pulled, the kick back chain brake adds a furter degree of safety with an electric disconnect. The biggest job it did was to fell a 60feet high eucalyptus when the petrol saw failed to start. The down side is to watch out for the cable when sawing free hand. I like the 4041's chain tension adjustment over the 4020 but they fitted a black electric cable( rather than the orange on the 4020) which makes point 1 more applicable. Great saw great value.
