One of the best investments i've ever made. Easy to put up and also pretty easy to use single-handed. only one thing to remember is to trim timber to the rear of the jaws first and then to the front end as this keeps the centre of gravity of the log firmly over the device which ensures the jaws remain locked and the whole assembly balanced correctly, leaving you both hands free to operate the saw and cut into convenient size logs.

Robust and good build quality. one of the adjustment holes on the top gate a bit tight but workable otherwise fine. takes a bit of practice to use properly but once you've got the hang of it quite straightforward and certainly beats constant bending down. could problably do with a flat plate on the gate to facilitate one person operation since lifting a heavier log and trying to push one end through the gate can be tricky.

This saw-horse is a great design which makes the job of sawing logs easier, quicker, and less tiring, because you don't have to re-position the log very often or bend down to pick the logs up. light enough to move around (i'm a lightweight 5'3"), it is easy to assemble and dismantle, and when it is dismantled it takes up very little room. It is expensive but makes sawing up a lot of pallets a viable alternative - if you wanted to do that, it would be excellent value for money. As i'm a log woman and have access to free timber, it doesn't save me pennies but it does save me effort. Some thin logs roll a bit but i can usually get the spikes to bite. Logs will drop straight into a carefully positioned wheelbarrow! Nice.
