I've used petrol, electric and other reel mowers - my new Fiskars StaySharp is the best mower I've ever used. Really well made, simple to put together, super sharp and plenty of different height settings to choose from. I have a large uneven lawn and the Fiskars is ideal as adjusting the height setting is so easy. Super impressed with how strong the Fiskars is and really happy that I don't have to use electricity or petrol anymore to cut my lawn.

I really like this product. It is simple and easy to use, and cuts well. No cord, no battery, no fuel. It isn't heavy- I'm 5'6" and push it about up and down embankments fine. I do think that it's a bit expensive for a push along mower but I am happy so far.

Absolutely brilliant mower, and not just for small gardens. Decide what you want to do with it first. I have an acre garden with approx 1/3 of that being lawn. Up to now I have being using a self-propelled rotary petrol mower to cut my lawn. The problem with this was that it took forever to mow the lawn, as the speed of the propulsion was so slow. For the past three years I’ve been manually pushing the rotary with the clutch disengaged to try and speed things up! With the Fiskars, I actually cut the lawn far quicker as it’s a lot lighter and easier to push that a petrol mower. The quality of the sward is noticeably better too, as the cylinder gives a better cut. Especially at lower heights, my lawn looks like a bowling green now. I have a rougher area of grass too (a separate paddock) and whilst the fiskars certainly can cut this too, it is hard work and the sheer amount of large weeds and the infrequent cutting I give it means that I will still use the rotary in there. I doubt many people will be looking for a manual push mower for a paddock though. For a “neat lawn” (regardless of size) this mower is great. It’s cheaper and better VFM than a petrol cylinder mower. It’s cheaper and a better cut that a petrol rotary mower, and it environmentally sound too. And you get a walk for a bit of exercise too. Oh, and the fact I can cut late at night due to the silent operation is a godsend. I can avoid the midday heat in summer and cut well into the late evening without annoying neighbours and happily listen to a podcast or two through headphones without the engine drawing it out. Top buy, seriously.

Expensive but great performance and excellent build quality. Grass collection bag would be appreciated given the price.

It is too early to really evaluate this mower- the grass is only just growing. The mower was delivered with a damaged grass chute. A replacement chute was sent to me within about 10 days.
