Black and Decker GTC1843L 18v Cordless Long Articulating Hedge Trimmer 430mm
This variant of the Black & Decker GTC1843L is supplied with 1 x 4.0Ah 18V lithium-ion battery and a battery charger — the highest-capacity option in the range, offering extended runtime that's ideal for larger gardens or more demanding trimming sessions.
With a usable length of 1.98m and a reach of up to 3.5m, this long-reach hedge trimmer makes light work of tall and awkwardly positioned hedges. The 180° pivoting head locks into 5 positions, letting you trim hedge tops and tricky angles from ground level — no ladders required.
Diamond-ground dual-action blades cut cleanly through stems while keeping vibration to a minimum, and the 18V motor delivers consistent power throughout. Non-slip ergonomic grips keep you in full control, and the trimmer disassembles for hassle-free storage when the job's done.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
Black & Decker 18v System
The Black & Decker 18v Li-ion System is a range of 18v tools where all 18v batteries of all ah ratings fit all tools, allowing you to buy just a few batteries but as many of the range of bare tools that you need without the expense of a new batteries and chargers each time.
