Fiskars XXL X27 Log Splitting Axe

This Axe is ridiculous, my old axe would jam but this slices through everything it touches. I researched and watch comparison videos, this looked the best and I’d agree, it truly is brilliant.

Im beginning to believe the hype - after thoroughly researching all reviews pointed to this axe. 2 weeks in and I look forward to the next time I use it. Super sharp, light for a splitting axe and very effective. Indestructible feel backed up by 25 year guarantee. My unhealthy interest in logs continues. I cant think why anyone wouldnt rate this one. Love it ??

I can’t compare the fiskars x27 to lots of other axes but I have to say it works brilliantly. Very lightweight for its size and splitting ability. Good length so no chance of hitting yourself on a missstrike. Only issue is that I might get a smaller axe at some point to complement it as you don’t always need to use it full force. We did do a bit of a test against a cheap maul, Whilst the maul felt like it should do a better job the x27 was definitely our preferred choice. As I’m just getting the hang of it I’ve hit the shaft a couple of times at full chat but there’s been no damage so don’t think the 25yr guarantee will be needed. Came with a free sharpener which also works really well. About £2 more expensive at tooled up but with the sharpener it was a no brained, quick well packaged delivery too.

5 stars all the way for this axe and the service from Tooled-Up.com. I will admit I was skeptical that a splitting axe with a comparably light head could be as effective and easy to use as all the previous reviews had indicated, but pleased to be proved wrong. Once I'd adjusted my technique (you need to fully commit on the down swing, no half measures) I was splitting logs that would have taken several goes with my old Aldi splitter and 14lb sledge, with a single swing.
